I forgot I had this. I'm off to explore the galaxy. and I don't even need a time machine.

I can go pretty much anywhere. It's kind of freaky with the simulated flight. I also have the lights off and it's nearly midnight. Also, I'm kind of a dork.

First stop: Mars!

It's funny to think that a couple of generations ago, most of my friends would be well into marriage by the age of 23-24, yet now that's kind of early. I guess there's also something of a trend away from marriage, as obviously defined by Charlotte and I, who have no religious or cultural traditions to want one, nor any personal need. The only appealling part of marriage to us is the cake and alcohol that accompanies a wedding, and, well, we have cake and alcohol all the time anyway!

Speaking of alcohol and cake, I have learned that to set food (eg, Xmas pudding) on fire properly, you should use at least 100-proof liquor... 80-proof gives pissweak little blue flames (which we discovered were all but invisible in daylight), and anything less than that won't burn at all, apparently.

Its possible. The 25th yeah? Holly Throsby has a show on at the Corner that night, well I have never actually really listened to her, but have heard good things....I wouldn't mind going to either.

My only issue with Cloud Control would be getting to the gig on time!

I haven't heard much/any of her work either, although I think she's one of those artists that Triple J likes.

You should all be coming to see Alpine (and Sparkadia and Operator Please) at the Hi-Fi that night!

I am actually tempted by that too, I like what I've heard of Sparkadia, and I've at least heard of Operator Please. Hrm.

But but... Cloud Control... *indecisive*

Here's the entry I just posted - and this may end up being the longest entry I'll write on the blog, mainly because it's my old shoebox: Mow Your Lawn!: 29 Murray Street, Brunswick West, VIC, Australia

I think you can feel my rage about the place.

I can indeed! It was a shitty shitbox of the shittiest sort.

Also, compulsive typo alert:
[...] saved the worsrt for last.
:reject:

I'm just another member of Generations X and Y with no belief I'll ever be able to achieve home ownership.

:hi5:

Who needs a house deposit when you can travel!

.... :lmao:

Baaahaha, just got a Ticketmaster e-mail inviting me to buy INXS tickets at 2-for-1. Can we say "totally fuckin' past it"? They must be quite desperate.

Wow. Even that isn't enough to make me even consider seeing them, though. Free gig? Sure, I'd tag along, hang out the back and try to drown out Mr Fortune (is he still fronting the band?) when they play the classics.

They'll be playing Crown Casino and RSLs if they're not careful.

Hubble's Ultra-Deep Field image - high res, zoomable. AstronomyPorn.

Re: the INXS 2 for 1 is pretty common for second/third shows that don't sell out (I have no idea if this is a 1st or second sho, mind you)

I remember after Tori in Melbourne they were handing out flyers for half price tickets for the second night.

Far out Nicole and I just half finished swapping rooms with my sister. (as it is a bit quieter when our cinema room is pumping when we are trying to sleep.

I think I'll worry about the rest tomorrow night, instead of going to Kity Flanagan...

Dear large woman at work with no volume control,

I have no interest in hearing your toilet memoirs. I especially have no interest in hearing your sister's toilet memoirs. Unsolicited information like that from people like you makes me want to have my eardrums surgically removed.

No love, Jess.

Had a great night last night seeing Warpaint and Seja live.

Having an awful morning of throwing up from a stomach bug. :sigh:

If I'm not around much the next couple of days, that's why. I think the worst is passing but now I'm just so fatigued and all I want to do is sleep.

That's what you get for...doing...that thing...you did that one time. /instantkarmafail

 Get well soon, Axxo.

There's a centre for quantum atom optics in Brisbane! :hyper: This may be my ticket to Ostraya!

TWO MINUTES then I get to go home! Today has been a long day. Got through 120 pages of a book during downtime. Also caught up on 3 months of xkcd and cyanide and happiness. It's been a LONG, boring day.

Note to self: iPod must be under human supervision at all times. if you let it play what it wants to, it's going to try to break your brain.

So like...yeah...I'm probably not going to see much of you lot til Monday or even later. I will stop in and say hey when I can
