k so i went and took pictures of all the crap i had. i figured as long as i was down there (it hurt like hell to take pictures of all this, but it was worth it) i took pictures of other noteworthy lps i own. i've got quite a bit more that i didn't bother photographing, like haircut 100 and other 80s bands.

that roxy music lp on the bottom left is the infamous cover i was referring to. the most pathetic part of all this is most of this stuff i've got on cd. but vinyl just sounds better.

you can tell which ones i bought off ebay because they don't have a damn price tag on them.

it pisses me off that the second hand shops put price tags right on the stuff. at least with cds it's on plastic and i can just peel it off and use some goo gone (it's this liquid gel kinda stuff that gets rid of remaining adhesive on surfaces, works great for things like price tags). but i don't want to risk fucking up my lps, so i just leave them on.

If I knew how to post pics I'd put mine up. I have soo much Duran stuff. Tiger Beat mags, scrapbooks , Simons autograph etc....Good thing I don't post pics I'd be a blue crackhead in no time :D

cool stuff Khanada

ahh it's really easy. as long as the pictures are on the internet, you just use the image tags:

[ img]enter the url here[/ img]

(delete the spaces in the brackets)

yeah i've got some books and tour programmes (i've got mostly tours i've seen, but a couple i haven't). i don't have many magazines just because i never got into looking for those on ebay, i was too busy seeking out their vinyls.

on another forum i saw someone post their vinyl collection, they had about 1200. i was sooo envious and hope one day i've got that much stuff.

But I won't cry for yesterday, there's an ordinary world,
Somehow I have to find.

(I just realized that Come Undone may be even better)

:applause: what do you think of the singles box sets? the first one (81-85) is loads better. like U2, once the 90s hit, duran duran started using more remixes than traditional b-sides (meaning covers and songs that didn't make it onto the album).

I've only gone through 81-85 and think it's great.. haven't found the time to completely go through 86-95.

you should really pick up the remastered duran duran (first album) and seven and the ragged tiger.

I actually have burned copies of those two, as well as burned copies of Medazzaland and Astronaut... I don't necessarily consider them part of the 'official' collection, but they're there.

Passion or coincidence once prompted you to say

(Ordinary World is beautiful whereas Come Undone is sexy. And I'm not referring to the transvestite in the video)

yeah i haven't really sat down and listened to all of 86-95, but i've had all of those mp3s for years anyway. back in 00 and 01, i think i pretty much downloaded everything duran duran i could find on napster.

does your burned copy of their first album include to the shore and/or is there something i should know?

AH! See the Carnival cover with the five individual photos, I had a poster of that from Dolly magazine (a girlie mag for teenagers) that I used to hold and stare at every night until it disintegrated from that oil that is secreted through hands. lol. I loved that poster. I had a bigger of the Simon shot on the cover of Face magazine.

I have Japan vinyl too. And David Sylvian solo. And then I went on to Ryuichi Sakamoto, and the Yellow Magic Orchestra, and then Yukihiro Takahashi. The path a fan wanders down. lol.

I did have that INXS Decadance in a limited edition flip top cigarette box but it was destroyed.

yeah, as you can see i have three different versions, they've all got different track listings.

ahh i've got several duran duran posters but i can't find any of them. right now, i've got a joy division poster over my couch (the damn poster isn't even mine, grrr), and a japan poster and a john taylor (sadly he's not pictured though, long story) by my staircase. love my japan poster as it's my favourite album of theirs (gentlemen take polaroids).

i've got all of japan and some david sylvian on cd, but i've only got those three (assemblage, gtp, and the visions of china single) on vinyl. that crap is really hard to find here in town because no one knows who they are.

oh man, too bad about your copy of dekadance. i need to get some more inxs vinyl, seeing as i only have that one so far. i'm not sure where to start :hmm: i guess i should wait until i have money at least.

Papers in the roadside tell of suffering and greed

(I believe that was your line, cos we're done with the chorus and guitar solo)

Ooh, here besides the news of holy war and holy need

(some of these lyrics I used to ad-lib for years and just appreciate the song for it's musical quality  )
