Fondue.

my family went to quebec city when i was 3 and then 7 and i have the fondest (foggiest) memories of a fondue place there, cheese and meats and then fruits and chocolate.

I've never been to Quebec City, but I hear it's beautiful up there.

we have family in northern maine and both times we stopped with them ofr a few days on either end to break up the drive. my memories are obviously foggy but i remember a beautiful cobblestone street filled with charming artists that today i would probably run screaming from and call a tourist trap, that amazing restaurant, the little b+b we stayed in where there was a girl about my age, and a cannon overlooking something somewhere.

it'd be fun to go back some time.

Yours was awesome this time out. I think it was your best yet.

Listening to some early Police right now, I see...
you succeed

awww thanks  i'm quite fond of the one i completed for #5. it's definitely more diverse, but i don't know what anyone will think of it.

 i've got my new wave playlist on shuffle. apparently early police are new wave

that sounds like a great time, it sucks that you're missing it

i've never been to atlanta but i'd like to go some day

the closest thing we have in boston to anything like that, as far as i know, is the sugar bowl, which you pay i think 10 bucks for and it's all you can eat ice cream from a ton of places, from ben and jerrry's and hagen daaz to local places.

I'm purposely gonna mix things up for DI5. Granted, I always mix it up, but I'm gonna really go for broke this time, and not really care how well it does at all.

yeah, i've never gone for one reason or another. it's part of this huge thing the city does the month of may. last weekend, they had a music festival. i couldn't go cuz i had to work  it rained anyway. and on memorial day weekend they have a symphony play. also, throughout the whole month, the "salute" one country (this year it's turkey) with exhibits, cooking, etc.

oh i love atlanta  it's in my top five cities i'd love to live in as far as the u.s.

ooh we have something like that too, sometime in the summer, but it's probably nowhere as huge as boston's.

 that's what i'm doing. i'm putting genres in that people are gonna be like  when they see them. at least i hope. they'd expect them of others, but not of me.

i think i might add one more song, though.

the first one was in uhhh...was it 2005?

so that's like, 1 a year, and now 2 in 6 months?

I hope people don't get sick of it before di 6. I don't know that I'd be any good at it, but I am making a list...

I've had ideas floating about, but I haven't done anything yet.

We tend to have two a year or so - there was a big gap between I and II, and then we did some mini-tournaments in between that spread it out some more. Ax, Screwtape, and I did a Prog Island version that was really fun.

In fact, I'd like to do another mini one at some point, based on another genre, like electronica or something.
