Desert Island VI Album Game: Third Place Match

Please vote for the playlist you LIKE THE MOST.

Welcome to the Third Place Match for Interference Desert Island VI! The premise of this game is that all of the Interferencers have been stranded on a desert island and we can only take up to 160 minutes of music with us (either as a continuous iPod playlist or two 80 minute CDs or any other format of our choosing). The object is to see which forum member can fit the most musical goodness into these 160 minutes.

In the semifinals, Mr. V narrowly defeated the tourist, 9-8, while gump and bono_212 ended in a 10-10 tie.

By rule, bono_212 wins the tiebreaker based on an overall superior record and point total.

Therefore, the third place match will be the tourist against gump. Below are their playlists.

Forum name: the tourist

Uncertain Paths

I guess every playlist is a reflection of one’s own self, so I won’t deny this one has a bit (or a lot) of myself in it. I won’t dwelve into details, as I would like to leave this open for interpretation, but the main topic here is transition into adulthood, the uncertain paths we have to choose, the dilemmas and doubts it generates. It is not all gloomy, but rather a contrast of emotions, from joy to desperation to hope for a happy ending. Concept or no concept, the playlist also has some of my favorite songs, which I hope you will enjoy. Thanks for listening!

Going for The Tourist here. Like I said in the last thread, I loved Gump's list, but I didn't know much about anything in it. Andrew had a lot of songs I knew and loved, and it flowed well, plus, the songs I didn't know I enjoyed. So, The Tourist by a hair.

Andrew made the best list he could: it flows immaculately while playing to both himself and the crowd. He's quite deserving of third place.

Sorry you're losing, Gumpers. You made the tourney's best list by an extremely wide margin. Hang your head high.

Tourist gets my vote, but it was a very line-ball decision. Gump's was great, but Tourist's was more my style. Two bangers though.

mocking the mods was the best move there, i agree. seriously, there is no need to be so sarcastic, especially since your post is incorrect since both tourist and gump post in the superthread.
