Please vote for the tracklisting you LIKE THE MOST.

Welcome to the third place match of the Interference Desert Island Game IV! The premise of this game is that all of the Interferencers have been stranded on a desert island and we can only take up to 160 minutes of music with us (either as a continuous iPod playlist or two 80 minute CDs or any other format of our choosing). The object is to see which forum member can fit the most musical goodness into these 160 minutes.

In the semifinals, Lara Mullen went on to defeat LemonMacPhisto in a close one, 13-11, while phanan overtook PlaTheGreat/the rockin edge, 15-8.

The final will be tomorrow and run for two days. In the meantime, we will have our third place match between LemonMacPhisto and PlaTheGreat/the rockin edge. Below are their playlists.

If you don't know the songs, or wish to hear how each tracklisting flows, feel free to check out the Desert Island website. :)

THE MOST POLITICALLY INSIGHTFUL PLAYLIST THIS SIDE OF 'BATTLESTAR GALACTICA'

I’ve been working on this list for quite a bit of time now, but still don’t have too much to say about it. I really wanted to put something together that gelled, had a style and flair to it unlike my previous lists, while still being representative of my tastes. I’m all about cohesion on this one and trying to make each transition between songs sound effortless and deliberate. I started out with an idea for an over-arching theme and story, but ultimately abandoned it because it was too tedious and tenuously connected together. Any list should be about the songs within them; if you don’t like them, it doesn’t matter if it’s the most brilliantly concocted list ever, then it’s not worth it. While saying that, I hope you all enjoy my list, as I and my son and partner, H.W. Plainview, are looking forward to hearing yours as well. Also, the title and cover are both all in good fun, I do not want to be politically insightful nor drink anyone’s milkshake... it’s just my nature.

And I've never liked Wilco but I loved the song you had on your list. :)

As much as I loved LMP's list and got exposed to a shit load of soul music and stuff, gotta give this one to Pla/Tre. Song by song, one of the strongest compilations this time around!

This is a close one. Frankly, Pla/Tre's list is an epic monster of pure awesome. The problem is, there are some songs on it that I would never, ever listen to. LMP's list isn't his best effort, but it's intriguing in parts, fun in others, and there really aren't any weak songs. He had more of those last year.

As a whole, what would I rather listen to? LMP's.

I'm glad it's as close as it is right now, but if anyone deserves to win it's Pla/Tre. An un-pretentious, fun, diverse, fucking brilliant list of music - that's pretty good in my book.

YLB again. As awesome as Pla/Tre's list is, it tails off for me at the end whilst YLB's is consistently strong.

LMP's list was really fun to listen to, there were points in time where it made me laugh just because it was fun. However, I think I would get pretty tired of it fairly quickly, and so, LMP, I salute you sir, but I'm going with Pla/Tre.

(OH, and that transition into Moonage Daydream was epic LMP)

Why thank you. Moonage could sound good in the middle of a fucking warzone - I love that song. Good to see Bowie rock the fuck out, man.
