Welcome to the fourth match of the second round of the Interference Desert Island Game IV! The premise of this game is that all of the Interferencers have been stranded on a desert island and we can only take up to 160 minutes of music with us (either as a continuous iPod playlist or two 80 minute CDs or any other format of our choosing). The object is to see which forum member can fit the most musical goodness into these 160 minutes.

For every win, each player will receive three points. If there is a tie, each player gets two points. If a player loses a match but is within three votes of the winner, that player will earn a single point.

At the beginning of each round, I will include the updated standings. Remember, the top two from each group moves on to the quarterfinals.

The fourth match of Round 2 has Lara Mullen facing off against PlaTheGreat/the rockin edge. Below are their playlists.

If you don't know the songs, or wish to hear how each tracklisting flows, feel free to check out the Desert Island website. :)

Competition master list.

Have fun!

I hate to pick one or the other cos Lara's list has some uniquely amazing songs like the ones by Pulp, Daft Punk, Massive Attack, REM etc. But Pla/Tre's list is simply filled with the WIN factor!

ARGH hardest match this round for me. I really enjoyed both of them and the only way I can separate them is by going for the one with more of my favourite songs, which is Pla/Edge's.

But I really think Lara deserves a point, so I'm going for her due to the overwhelming majority going for Pla/Edge.

Maybe we should just end the entire contest now?

Realistically, yes.

But it's not the best list here IMO. It's just a bunch of songs, and fucking Dave Matthews Band is included in there. :tsk:

Pla/Edge have one of the best playlists in the tournament. I love the sequencing, too.

I like Lara's playlist and voted for it in Round 1, but she's run into a juggernaut this time.

Pla/Tre's list is fucking epic.

I'm surprised no one's criticized the "greatest hits" on there. Who cares, it's a great list and is in my Top 5.

:lmao:

agree

i fucking hate DMB with a passion

that said, solid list overall. I enjoyed both, but I'm a bit surprised at the slaughter going on, as I view both lists as about equal

I voted for Lara
