Please vote for the tracklisting you LIKE THE MOST.

Welcome to the eighth and final heat of the second round of the Interference Desert Island Game III! The premise of this game is that all of the Interferencers have been stranded on a desert island and we can only take up to 160 minutes of music with us (either as a continuous iPod playlist or two 80 minute CDs or any other format of our choosing). The object is to see which forum member can fit the most musical goodness into these 160 minutes.

In Heat 4, LemonMelon barely held off PlaTheGreat in a very close contest, winning 12-11. Pla still earns a point for coming within four votes, however, which could be crucial as we move on.

With Round 2 halfway through, here are our current standings:

BEHIND CLOSED EYES

Behind closed eyes. With headphones on. That is how you experience the beauty of these songs. I went out of my way to pick the most gorgeous songs that exist in my itunes. I didn’t want to make it a testosterone filled rock fest so you’ll find a generous helping of pop and other music too. And since one of the main objectives of this contest is to expose others to new music, I did not choose the most popular songs or bands. Also, I hope you’re all open-minded when listening to this album because more often than not, you may not hear what you normally expect from some of these artists. For example, if you hate Oasis because of Liam’s nasally yell, you’re in for a surprise. Enjoy!

Lila has more songs I like and uses them very well. She just can't match that first disc. Great playlist though and a great road trip playlist.

Best of luck to the two of you through the rest of the game.

It's the entire first disc, holy schnikies. I'll get back to you guys on this one.

When the next Desert Island competition comes around, you most certainly can join. Screwtape2 and Axver run the tournaments (I do the polls for them as they aren't premium).

I'm not sure when the next one will be. It will probably be held off a bit as there is a mini-tournament coming up next (a concept album-type game). Probably sometime after that. So just keep watch...

So many good songs on these. A very hard vote. I obviously really enjoyed Lila's playlist, as she earned my vote last round. Zoots has some awesome songs, although there are others mixed in that I don't care for, but the ones I like, I really like.

:hmm:

Very close, but I'm going with Zoots.

Thank you. I just sent Axver and you an e-mail about helping me upload files for the game.

I hope you guys are listening to my second disc even if you don't know the songs cos there are some underrated and forgotten gems in there! I admit though that Disc 1 is better.

I want to make a "Playlist of Songs That Made Me Think Twice for Voting for Them"

Alannah Myles would be on that list.

I can't hear Black Velvet anymore without picturing countless annoying drunk girls singing that song at karaoke.

And they ALWAYS think they're all that and a bag of chips.* It's just something about that song.

*but they're really, really not :shifty:
