Please vote for the tracklisting you LIKE THE MOST.
Welcome to the eleventh qualifying round of the Interference Desert Island Game II! The premise of this game is that all of the Interferencers have been stranded on a desert island and we can only take up to 160 minutes of music with us (either as a continuous iPod playlist or two 80 minute CDs or any other format of our choosing). The object is to see which forum member can fit the most musical goodness into these 160 minutes.
In the last round, U2VertigoFly won a tight match against MacPhistoPT in a 21-17 victory.

This round features tracklistings by Adrball and Bono_212. Below, you will find their tracklistings. If you are unfamiliar with the songs included, we can help you hear them! Just leave your e-mail address.
Reminder for contestants: if there was an error on your tracklisting on the master list thread, let me know before your qualifying round so I can post the correct tracklist!

From about the age of 8 I started to play the clarinet and Piano and got pretty good at both until I discovering 'other things'. The exams involved playing and listening to classical music and it's from here that I developed a respect for live performing when done well.

I hate manufactured crap (particularly from the 80s/90s) - the stuff that can't be reproduced live without it sounding karaoke. People who can play instruments get my respect. Others like Spice Girls, Westlife and Take That just annoy me. So you can tell why my love for U2 developed.

The tracklisting can be split into three groups - Classical, Bands, Non-Bands. There's quite a chunk of Non-Band tracks in here - for songs that wouldn't normally pass my 'respect test but do pass my 'whistle test' (Eg Modjo, Natalie Imbruglia, Pink), or represent events in my life.

:hmm: can't decide....

OmG I'm so excited I've been waiting forever, good luck Ardball

This is impossible....

ADRBALL has Happy Mondays, Keane and Bruce Hornsby

but BONO212 has The World I Know, Unforgettable Fire, Landed, as well as the delightful Dance Hall Days...

The other round was set to unlimited by mistake. At the time this next poll began it was 21-17 in favor of U2VertigoFly. A mod should close that poll.

I edited & closed the poll.

Oh fuck...I'm up.

Bono_212....I really like your tracklist. Love Under Pressure and I was torn between RTSS and TUF.

Do I get to vote for myself?

I think I voted for 212, but I can't remember now:huh:

Oh, I am glad this tournament is still running! I do apologise for my extended absence. Could someone please bring me up to speed on what has transpired since "real life" got the better of me?

Things are looking up nowadays ... I won't ask to take back the task of running the game just yet, it's certainly far too premature for that, but I might like to in future ...

^ No shit!!! I was about to post a "Where has Axver gone?" thread! I remember you said your mum is very ill........I thought your absence had something to do with that........anyhoo,good to see you back!!

Hey, thanks for the concern. Luckily, my mother's alright, she's been doing pretty well this month. She's not even had to see the doctor much lately, which makes me really happy. Back in January, she was in hospital for a while and then spent a fair bit of February visiting the doctor, but now her recovery's coming along nicely.

Unfortunately, other stuff has gone terribly awry, but it's getting patched up and I don't feel so bad now.

But of course, now university's starting to get busy, so there goes my time! Not that I feel like I had much of a summer holiday ...

I offered to help two rounds back and Axver (nice to see you here  ) said that was okay but I found out other folk were starting new polls with help from Screwtape. Still don't mind helping if youse need volunteers though.

Good to see you back, Axver, and glad your mom's doing better. :)

I echo that sentiment.

I wish I didn't miss the voting, and I would've voted for bono_212 anyway.

I'm waiting for the email from Screwtype, otherwise I would've started the next round...
