Desert Island Album Game II: Heat 4

Please vote for the tracklisting you LIKE THE MOST.

Welcome to the fourth heat of the Interference Desert Island Game II! The premise of this game is that all of the Interferencers have been stranded on a desert island and we can only take up to 160 minutes of music with us (either as a continuous iPod playlist or two 80 minute CDs or any other format of our choosing). The object is to see which forum member can fit the most musical goodness into these 160 minutes.

In the third heat, Lancemc won a closely fought battle against bono_man2002. The final margin was 17 to 14. Lance now proceeds to a quarter final against this heat's winner.

So, who will he face, Bono's shades or phanan? Below, you will find their tracklistings. If you are unfamiliar with the songs included, we can help you hear them! Just leave your e-mail address.

Bono's shades has a really, really strong tracklisting and I would have voted for it in most rounds. The inclusion of one of the best Crowded House songs ever is a nice touch.

However, phanan's tracklist is one of my favourites in the entire tournament. It's hard to compete with a tracklist that has both Arriving Somewhere But Not Here and One Tree Hill, amongst other gems.

This is another tough one. I like a lot of the songs on phanan's tracklisting, but it's hard to vote against Bono's shades with his order--Ike & Tina-->Aretha--> Funkadelic-->Marvin Gaye It's also nice to see Marshall Crenshaw on somebody's list.

Re: Desert Island Album Game II: Heat 4

Phanan's playlist is one of the best when it comes to song selection. Bono's Shades also has a very strong playlist. In the end, I went with Phanan in another difficult match.

I'd forgotten too. It's amazingly good! But I really, REALLY love Phanan's, and it's been one of my favorites in this tournament.

I am really going to have to mull this one over, and it will probably come down to a last minute, instinctive decision.

Why can't they both advance!?!?!?

Going against Bono's Shades is a tough task - a great list.

Hopefully I won't get blown out.

I'd be happy with either one of these, but I have to go with Bono's Shades.

The amps go to 11 on that one.
