Heh, reminds me of my dad. My bedroom is near the kitchen, so he'll stand in there and ask me how long he should heat something up in the microwave. I usually say "Until it's done.." or "Heat it for a minute, and if it's still not done, heat it longer"

It's so true. I find microwaves do differ from type to type though. I tried to cook some chicken strips in it the other day and they shriveled right up

I hate that. We just got a new one, and it works better, but it's really loud when it beeps. And the popcorn button doesn't cook the popcorn long enough
