..I've always found The Smiths very uplifting..very few bands can reach the lyrical desparation that they managed but the music is so playful and comical they pull it off without leaving you down..likewise Morrisey's delivery is so tongue in cheek and hilarious at times it hits the other side of the spectrum everytime
