my god woman!

Their concepts of life are all very depressing
talk of bad days and never-ending sadness
and lots and lots of heartache and loss

(concerning travis)

elbow
radiohead
sigur ros (but that may be just cuz I don't understand a word they're singing...the music is quite chilled tho)

And yes, Travis has been known to be quite depressive. Listen to The Man Who. Not to mention songs on Invisible Band like "Dear Diary" and "Last Train".

Doves' Lost Souls album is kinda depressing but I like it.

after reviewing the lyrics of travis again I have concluded that about 95% of their stuff is depressing. Shall we begin?
-----------

Hottest summer in a hundred years
but summer didn't bother getting up this morning
and so all the trees forgot to wake
they were dropping all their leaves on the ground below them

----------

Everyday I wake up alone because
Im not like all the other boys...
(that whole song is a killer)

---------
You're driftwood...hollow and of no use

---------
all of The Last of the Laughter

----------
I'm seeing a tunnel at the end of all of these lights
sunny days
where have you gone?
....
Why does it always rain on me?

-----------
Its bright as bright as second light
is bright oh god I hope I'm alright
cause I'm gonna cry

-------
the grass is always greener on the other side...
and when your time is running out you wanna stay...
there is no right, there is no wrong, the circle only has one side

--------

I'd pray to God if there ws heaven but heaven seems so very far from here.
and it all boils down to the same old thing
just a ying and a yang and a couple of pipedreams
(this song is sickly sad!)

----------
But then this bird just flew away,
she was never meant to stay

----------

I'm gonna buy a gun
shoot everything everyone
and then I'm coming for you
cos it was you that drove me to

-----------
[i]All the kings horses and all the kings men
Couldn't pull my heart back together again...
failed to stop my heart from breaking into[i]

-------------

No two quotes are from the same song, I rest my case

For every Follow The Light and Flowers in The Window there are a dozen sad songs
