Giving him the excuse of lunacy is letting him off easily, I'd just call him a moron for his lack of intelligence. I'm a business major and as a result have had to take my fair share of economics classes over my time in college. Humanitarian issues and moral responsibility aside, in the long run it would be beneficial to Americans, and the entire world, if Third World Debt was eliminated. Throw in the morality factor and it honestly takes an idiot to think that Third World debt is a bad idea and if Congressmen laughed at Bono, it shows how unqualified they are for their jobs.
