Do love the idea of the Nothing is Changed 3CD, with its backwards chronology and obscure picks, but how you can have a Bowie retrospective with only one track from Low and "Heroes" is fucking beyond me.

Well damn, Sue and Tis a Pity are two of the more inventive tracks I've heard this year. Both are superior to anything on The Next Day, I would argue. Probably no one will agree with that.

Just bought the Vinyl version today! Check it out.

Time, Lady Grinning Soul, Joe the Lion, Beauty & the Beast and Drive-In Saturday are disgustingly underrated on that list.

And Modern Love was overlooked entirely, which is just bizarre.

Buggar me! can't believe I missed out Starman, I'd put that at 19, & every song below that automatically move down 1 place.

Random Bowie Talk: the guitar solo at the end of Teenage Wildlife is fucking incredible.

I'm surprised and disappointed that Bowie and Robert Fripp collaborated so infrequently. He is a big part of what makes the Scary Monsters album work so well.

Fantastic song. My second favorite song on that album, after the title track. As for Rushmore:

Scary Monsters
Golden Years
Beauty and the Beast
The Next Day

My Bowie Rushmore:
Rock N' Roll Suicide
Heroes
Teenage Wildlife
Starman

A Bowie Rushmore, ehhhhhhyyyy...

(in no partic. order)

"Heroes" / A New Career in a New Town / Lady Stardust / Life on Mars

I think I'll go and buy Outside this week. Of all the albums I heard for the first time during our second Bowie Survivor (but the only one that didn't have a pathetic midway fail, not naming names), that was the one that struck me quite a bit.

I just realized this thread existed. I posted the video in the RM thread.
