David Bowie Song Survivor: Introduction and Master List

Welcome to B&C's David Bowie Song Survivor. Screwtape and I will be running this with assistance from LMP and LMel.

This song survivor will be different from any song survivor done before, though the main idea is the same. The idea is this: Take the best Bowie songs and place them in a field of 64 to compete for the title of best Bowie song.

To get to the field of 64, the first steps occur now. Each album will receive at least one bid into the tournament. There are then going to be at-large bids to fill it out. Based on the voting in this thread, which will be of your ten favorite Bowie albums, the at-large bids will be given to each album based on popularity.

After that, each album will hold voting to pick its alloted number of songs. As opposed to voting off the least favorite, as in the previous survivors, you will be voting for your favorite to get a bid to the tournament.

The tournament will then consist of single rounds of voting for each song match-up.

Here are the David Bowie album tracklistings, plus the listing for the Non-Album tracks, which will have its own round(s) of voting.

Every album gets at least one song in the field of 64. We will vote on which albums deserve more songs in.

Wasn't it already decided that Led Zeppelin would come after Radiohead and Pink Floyd?

It took Pfan like 56 hours to type out those track listings. There's no turning back now.
