I've been listening to more Bowie recently because Rebel Rebel was on the pre-show Vertigo tape.
The Man Who Sold The World kicks arse and Bowie's version is the much better one.

What really got me into him was 'Hunky Dory'. I first discovered him a few years ago in college. I definitely had a David Bowie period.
