Who has their new album, and do you recommend it?

I've liked their sound for the past five or six years, but haven't really delved into their work.

Since I first saw this

on youtube about a week ago, "Harder Better Faster Stronger" has been stuck in my head.

This one is pretty cool too.

..and if you enjoyed those two, you might like this as well:

Yes. I'm aware there's a Kanye West version of this song, and though I'm probably one of the few people here who like Kanye, I don't think his version is much of an improvement on the original.

if you're referring to 'Human After All' that record came out over two years ago so not sure about it being 'new' but I would reccomend you get it if you already have 'Discovery' [if you don't, get it] and 'Homework', can't go wrong with either of them.

Human After All's a pretty mixed bag, I remember thinking Discovery was the greatest dance album I've ever heard when I first got it [still do] and then Human After All came out and to tell you the truth it was a let down.

For one it's incredibly repetetive and it's clear they spent like 6 weeks doing it but if you want to believe the theory that they intended the album to show that yes, they are in fact 'human after all' then fair enough.

I still like it and listen to it often but it could have been so much better, there are some really good tracks that make you think 'what an amazing riff' etc. but that's pretty much all there is to it, a riff that's repeated ad nauseum and could have been made so much more! It's definitely worth getting for the title track, 'Robot Rock', 'Make Love' and 'Technologic'.

It's not the worst album ever and if, by 'New Album', you mean the new ALIVE 2007 live album coming out in November [WOOOO!!!] then get it as soon as it comes out because that tour was fucking incredible.

The Human After All material sounds worlds better when mixed with other tracks and generally just fucked about with instead of the sadly monotonous record they came from...

OMG, the "Technologic (Teacher's Mix)" on the Alive tour was just  :combust:

And I LOVED when all the lights went dim and they just blasted the word up on the screens: FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! . . . with everyone just pumping their fists in the air and chanting along!

That tour was just

daft punk rules, even if there's some serious "borrowing" going on.

that video of the "groovy dancing girl" rocks my blocks.

i want to dance like that.

anyone who can dance like that is automatically mega-ultra hot.
