U2's Lovetown era "All Along the Watchtower" seriously smokes all other version.

It seems you haven't heard the version yet by The Jimi Hendrix Experience. Go out and buy Electric Ladyland (as that's an amazing album anyway). :shame:

Please, who HASN'T heard The Jimi Hendrix version? That's practically the REAL classic version of the some it's so well done and well known. Personally though, The Lovetown version packs more passion and more soul. The Hendrix version definitely has the bigger chops, but doesn't move me like U2's better performances of the song do.

Jimmy may be Jimmy , and yes he was the pele of guitars ....... But

Edge's Lovetown solo on it , kicks his ass all along

Totally agree with lancemc

I cannot say enough about Sinbad O'Conner's version of "Nothing Compares 2 U"?

It could be one of the most heart-wrenching songs I have ever heard.

(The Prince version ain't too shabby either)
