Cover songs are evil...

...but I'll play along. Cover songs that don't make me puke are:

Sting "Come Down in Time" (Elton John cover)

Yeah, that's about it. Oh and Smashing Punpkins cover of "Landslide".

Off the top of my head, Eddie Vedder's version of "Stuff and Nonsense". That's a cover, right?

My music book has informed me that the Clash's Police and Thieves is a cover. I was not aware of this.

Ryan Adams's version of "Wonderwall" is incredible. Noel Gallagher actually re-recorded it after hearing him cover it:

*U2--Dancing Barefoot
*Metallica--Turn the Page
*CCR--Heard It Through the Grapevine
*The Clash--Police and Thieves
*Johnny Cash--Personal Jesus

Wow, my brain is dead today. I know there's a ton more covers that I love, but I am totally drawing a blank here!

Current fave:
Saint Etienne - Only Love Can Break Your Heart (Neil Young)

Other cool ones:
The Clash - Police & Thieves (Junior Murvin)
Ryan Adams - Wonderwall (Oasis)

Can't remember the rest. Ben Folds' version of Champagne Supernova is as funny as heck.
