Jimi Hendrixs version of "All along the watchtower" is awesome, especially the intro, Its a lot better than Dylans and a lot better than..... ahem..... U2s

Also U2s version of the Whos "Wont get fooled again" from the 2000 Irving Plaza gis is excellent (they should have played it on the Elevation tour)

I do wish these boy/girl bands and PoP idols would stop covering good records and killing them stone dead, one of them Will, Darious or Garath (who knows which one, who cares which one ) recently released the Doors "Light my fire and it was dreadful..

Me First and the Gimme Gimmes...I used to love those guys. Especially their version of 'Elenore' that had London Calling superimposed over it.

Word the fuck up. It makes me happy as I am also an Eleanor. Different spelling - but hey. It is so one of my favorite waking up songs.
