My mom threw away(or hid from me)my instructions for how to do this, so hopefully someone can tell me.
We had to "empty" out(or erase I guess) our cookies on our computer because it was running slower, and we needed to make more free space.
So I go to do this again today, and I can't remember how to do it. I thought it was somewhere under "my computer", but I can't find it.
Anyone know how to help?

if you're using ie 6 you can simply do this:
->tools
->options
->under the general tab there will be a 'clear cookies' button

if not you can still go through the way you described:
->my computer
->c:
->windows
->and there should be a 'cookies' folder there.

i'm not sure about netscape but there is probably a way from within the browser as well.

Hey, come back!!!!
I found the cookies, but how do I get rid of them???
I don't see anything about "clearing cookies" or anything like it!

Well I think, you go to tools, internet options, and under the 'temporary internet files' section click 'Delete Files'.

Or you simply delete all the files that say cookies.

To delete all your cookies when you're in the cookie file:
Go to Edit and select 'Select all' then click on delete. It will delete them all at once.

So I highlighted all the cookies, then chose delete, it said it cannot delete index.
What the heck is that?
Last time, I had to do each one individual.

Is clearing out cookies also going to clear out the HUGE address scroll bar(whatever that thing is called where all the websites are stored that we visit online)(below the toolbar)'cause it's getting pretty big.

Hey everybody, thanks a lot.
I cleaned out all the cookies.
The address toolbar is still huge, but I guess I'll try to fix that another time.
I guess I should buy "Computers for Dummies".

that is what explorer refers to as your 'history'. to clear that out you go:
->tools
->options
->and under the same 'general' tab there should be one that says 'clear all items in history'
