Computer/DVD question.

How does one go about making screencaps? When I'm playing a DVD on the computer and I come across a shot that I like I pause it, hit the "print screen" button and then go over to Paint, and paste it in. However, I can't get it to work. Is it possible to do what I'm trying to do, and if so, how?

get power dvd or ulead dvd.. it has a copy screenshot thing on the player

Basically the program you use to view the dvds must have a screen capture capabilities. You can use the ones Jesse mentioned. I happen to have InterVideo WinDVD on my laptop that does it too.

What I want to know is how do you loop a part of a dvd and make it into a gif? I'll have to find someone's signature or something for an example of what I'm talking about.

I used to use PowerDVD for screencaps. Most software doesn't let you do it and it comes up black.
