Come Hither!!!

We all have those songs that we consider "hidden gems"
Songs that you just know if we all heard we'd be hooked.

So I propose we give One song here by some artist who you think we would love. The song by them that you believe would hook us.
NOT U2 or Radiohead obviously because we all know them, buyt some artist you don't feel gets enough acclaim.

Then a few of us will download the song and write reviews here.
There just needs to be more sharing here.
There's not enough sharing.

-----------

My pick is Elliott Smith's song
Waltz#2

This is the song that hooked me on his stuff. I heard about him on a Radiohead MB where everyone place his album XO in the top 10 of the 90's! His voice is THE most soothing relaxing voice out there today and his music is something like The Bends Meets Revolver.

If you like this one I like Miss Misery better but I figured this one would do the job.

hmmm.... I think I just broke my own rules...

crys

One song? One band? This is the hardest thing I have ever done....

I would say "Falling Star" by Melaton *cough*, but I'm not.

Instead, I'm going with "My Life In Art" by Mojave 3. The only reason I'm not saying "Alligator Boy " by Ed Harcourt is that I wanted a serious song.

So, um, yeah. Mojave 3 then.

I second these. (Can I do that? )

Anyway, "Paint the Silence"..... sigh....I love that song....

"How can you say your life is empty
So late in the day
Why would you stay another second
Now your sights got in the way
A combination of love and aggression
Another second lived"

And they toured with Elbow! Yay!

Yay!! All this South love!

I've been trying to find bass tabs for that song. Of course, if I found them, I probably still wouldn't be able to play it.

Yay for Paint the Silence! South is really amazing live too - they trade instruments and lead vocals throughout the show. Glad you like it!!
