Ohio State, BC and South Florida are all a really soft 6-0/7-0. Ohio State's toughest opponent so far has been Washington, and BC and USF's schedules have been even weaker. There's no way any of them deserves to be ranked over LSU, Cal, Oregon or South Carolina.

I think this season is a major indicator of just how much parity there really is in College Football now.

I really dont think there is any dominant team this year at all. OSU is number one because they play in the Big 10 which appears to be weak this year. Although I dont get what is going on with USC. They have more talent than anyone else for the most part and they are really struggling.

Good to see my team Michigan is ranked again in one poll anyway. Wont last long, they go to Illinois this saturday for a night game. Illinois with a mobile quarterback, at night, away game and Michigan's tailback Mike Hart isnt 100%. Doesnt look good for the Wolverines. :sigh: Its just one of those years unfortunately.

Palm Springs is 90 right now..gone swimmin'!

Voters are dumb.

Ohio State is 7-0, has played a complete crap schedule, and is #1.

Arizona State is 7-0, has played a complete crap schedule, and is #12.

Clearly the only reason for this is because Ohio State started the season ranked higher than Arizona State.

Polls should not be released until the 5th or 6th week of the season, period.

hey Mr. BAW, me likey those polls!

I didn't watch, but from what I hear USF didn't play so hot. Rutgers is pretty good this year too, right? :hmm:

Anyways, I do like to see high-ranked teams knocked off so my teams can move up. Although since they don't play this week ASU is not likely to benefit much, if at all.

Jeez.....what's next?????

"Trojans endure storm-tossed landing for Notre Dame game
October 19, 2007"

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) -- The plane carrying USC's football team to South Bend plummeted during a severe thunderstorm, forcing the pilot to abort his first landing attempt.

There were about 125 people, including 82 players, on the chartered flight Thursday night for the cross country trip for Saturday's game.

"That was terrifying," fullback Stanley Havili told the Los Angeles Times. "I thought I was going to die."

Some passengers were thrown from their seats by turbulence as lightning crackled around the storm-tossed plane, USC sports information director Tim Tessalone told The Associated Press on Friday. Safety Taylor Mays was screaming.

"It was a little bit of a roller coaster drop there for a minute," Tessalone said. "We had some people fly out of some seats. Everybody is fine, but it was a frightening little dip there."

The pilot aborted the approach and circled around the storm before landing without incident about 20 minutes later to the relief of the shaken team and the spouses of some staff members also on the flight, Tessalone said.

Defensive end Lawrence Jackson said he was going to see the team trainer because a Popsicle stick pierced the inside of his mouth during the drop.

"It wasn't the worst flight I've ever been on," quarterback John David Booty said. "But it was definitely the biggest drop."

Losses are built into the BCS formula, so USF will take a big hit, and Arizona State (and everyone else just below USF who ends up not losing this week) should move up automatically.

Always have you seatbelt secured when you are in your seat.

Charlie Weis is gonna throw at Taylor Mays, mark it down.
