I know, the fact that they're hyping OSU so much makes me nervous- for some reason I'd feel better if they were selling it as a more even game which I believe it will be. Maybe that makes me a bad fan but hey

I also just want the game to be played. now.

All I've heard is how great the UofM's defense is and that OSU won't be able to run the ball. Also, I've heard how the movie Cinderella Man has inspired the your team. maybe Russell Crowe will give pregame speech?

But when you get down to it, the media likes to stir up the shite. That's their job.

What are the UofM fans on this board planning for watching the game tomorrow?

Schembechler hospitalized

Angelique S. Chengelis The Detroit News

Legendary Michigan football coach Bo Schembechler has been taken to Providence Hospital in Southfield after another apparent cardiac episode while taping the weekly college football show, "Big Ten Ticket" at the Channel 7 studios Friday morning.

Schembechler had an episode at the station on Oct. 21 before taping and was hospitalized then for several days at the University of Michigan Hospital. On Oct. 23, he underwent a procedure to implant a defibrillator-pacemaker.

He has had two heart attacks, two quadruple heart bypass surgeries and is diabetic.

Schembechler returned to the Channel 7 studios on Nov. 3 looking spry and healthy, and taped the popular weekly, half-hour show. And on Monday, Schembechler addressed the media during a news conference to preview Saturday's Michigan-Ohio State game.

One report (Channel 7 where he collapsed in fact) apparently is saying Bo has passed, but nothing official yet.

Schembechler collapses, dies at 77ESPN.com news services

DETROIT -- Former Michigan football coach Bo Schembechler has died, television station WXYZ is reporting.

Schembechler
He was 77.

Schembechler collapsed Friday during the taping of a television show and was taken by ambulance to a hospital.

He became ill at WXYZ-TV in Southfield the day before the Ohio State-Michigan showdown, the station said. Schembechler also was hospitalized Oct. 20 after falling ill at the same studio.

Earlier Friday, Southfield police spokesman John Harris could not provide specific medical information, but said: "I don't think it was good."

Police were sent to the station about 9:25 a.m. with the city's fire department, and they escorted an ambulance to Providence Hospital, Harris said.

Messages were left with the university, Schembechler's office and the hospital.

Schembechler met with the media this week to discuss Saturday's game between the No. 1 Buckeyes and No. 2 Wolverines. He also talked about the device that was implanted to regulate his heartbeat after he was hospitalized last month. He said the device covered about half his chest, and doctors still were adjusting it.

Schembechler said he did not plan to attend the game in Columbus, Ohio, and he doesn't go to road games anymore.

Schembechler had a heart attack on the eve of his first Rose Bowl in 1970 and another one in 1987. He has had two quadruple heart bypass operations.

The seven-time Big Ten coach of the year had a 194-48-5 record at Michigan from 1969-89. His record in 26 years of coaching was 234-64-8.

That is his advantage and I think its a greater one because he CAN throw. I just dont think he is as good of an overall passer. Have you seen some of Chad's throws to Manningham and Arrington this season? His throws to Manningham in the ND game were like he pointed a laser right into his hands.
Henne is a good passer... when he's not getting picked off

Really, he has thrown two or three really bad passes all year. The one in the ND game and the one in the Ball State game come to mind. The ND one after he thew it, he refocused and it was like he was pointing a laser into the the receivers hands. The rest were either tipped balls or were at the beginning of the season when a reciever ran the wrong route. When Chad is focused, he is money. I cant imagine he wont be focused in this game.

Sad to hear about Bo. Weird it happened the day before the big game. I just saw him on TV last night talking about it.

I just don't know about tomorrow now?

Rest in peace Coach Bo.

It's only fitting that the for the first time in OSU and Michigan football history that it's a #1 vs. #2 meeting that Woody and Bo get to watch the game together.

Well the game sure takes on a weird aura now...if Michigan wins, its like Bo willed them to it, If OSU wins, Michigan couldn't be blamed for being less than focused.

RIP Bo...a true legend.

I dont think its going to make any difference once the game gets started. May be more emotional beforehand and maybe afterwards. But I dont think it will change the outcome of the game, whatever that is.

It could be a little inspiring to them though. I guess Bo talked to the team just yesterday afternoon.
