Coldplay and U2?

I just noticed that Coldplay will have a concert in Chicago tommorrow night May 6th. Since U2 will be playing there the day after would it be fair to assume that U2 will be at the concert and vice versa?

It would be cool to see if either band acknowledges the other's presence.

As much as Chris wants it Coldplay will NEVER be as "big" as U2!!!
However they do have some really gorgeous songs. Hopefully they'll be at each others concerts.

hahaha

watch Chris Martin show up to the U2 show with a "HOW TO BE U2" notebook and furiously start writing away notes during the show

why do we have to understand coldplay as a threat to u2? they are a great band, and one of the reasons for that is that one of their references is u2. as a long time u2 fan i'm proud that the best new band from the last 10 years is inspired by them.
there are enough room for both bands and they know that. it's good that they are friends and admire each other's music.

Some friends are going to Nine Inch Nails this weekend in Chicago--must not be where Coldplay or U2 are playing.
I enjoy Coldplay--but they will never be U2 (Chris Martin-is that his name--compared in looks to Bono--there's a big difference-we like our rock stars to be gorgeous.)

You know, a lot of you guys stun me with your inability to read an original post and respond to it. Where in the original post was it asked if Coldplay would ever be as big as U2? Where in the original post was it asked what your opinion of Coldplay is? Where? NOWHERE. The question asked was, since Coldplay's show and U2's show are a day apart, is it possible they would be at each other's shows? I think it's possible, it could very well happen.

Now, can we please start actually responding to the thread topic and stop turning it into a Coldplay-bashing thread? Hmm?

Coldplay are great, some of there songs are up there with U2s best but overall U2 are 22.83 times better.

It's too early to say if Coldplay will be as big as U2 is one day. But they are an amazing band.

I can't believe I have to quote myself!!

STOP IT!! JUST ANSWER THE ORIGINAL FRIGGIN' QUESTION!!

I don't mean to sound like a prick but my god it feels like some of you aren't even reading the original post and are just seeing U2 and Coldplay in the same title and automatically assuming the thread is about Coldplay being as big as U2! STOP IT!!

Yeah, it's pretty sad that this instantly turned into a "OMG COLDPLAY SUX" thread. U2 fans are so insecure.
