Oh, I know that. Kate and I came out of nowhere and it was a rather good relationship to start off with. I just now realise that starting something before the inevitable personal changes that come with being 18-21 was not for the best.

I wouldn't outright discount the possibility of anything, but I think my scorn for any possibility presenting itself in a hurry is pretty well-founded all the same.
