Walk the Line is a major moment for him, finally helping me mend my grief for his brother, who was a bit of a boy crush for me after seeing My Own Private Idaho.

After his death, I went on a River Phoenix binge. He will always be my James Dean.

I wanted to be the straight boy Keanu Reeves that he seduced.

I'm guilty as charged for bingeing on Johnny Depp, Robin Williams and Kevin Spacey films.

For directors, I've explored David Lynch after watching Mulholland Drive but have been rather less-than-impressed with his other stuff. Tim Burton is always good fun as well.

Mabel, have you seen Ladder 49? Great movie (Joaquin is in it).

Cameron Crowe. I haven't seen every one but I've seen almost all of his movies.

Who does he play in Parenthood? He's not Gary, is he? I know that Keanu plays Todd... and btw Julie has a U2 poster in her room.

No one has mentioned Wes Anderson yet.

Although he's only directed four films, they are four of my all time favorites.

A good call, to be sure. Technically, I don't think one can binge on such a light order, but surely we can at least overeat. I'm (very, very nervously and tentatively) anticipating the forthcoming animated film. I hope it don't suck...

I've seen almost every film w/Sandra Bullock (she could be, like, my best friend in real life, I her!)

Yea, almost everything Johnny Depp is in is good, but esp. Chocolat (where he seems the most normal and a (gulp) hunka, hunka, burnin' love)

Joaquin Phoenix is good too. Loved him in Signs and THe Village!!

I started watching all of Kate Hudson's films after How to lose a guy... and after seeing Matthew McConaughey in that film where he's a lawyer defending a black man on trial for murder in the south... I'll watch him in anything!!

I like Tim Burton's work, but am not familiar with too many directors besides the real famous; Steven Speilberg... OH, but I like M.Night Shamylan (sp?)'s stuff.

I did go through a Julia Roberts "phase" (not really a binge) and still like all her older stuff; some of Meg Ryans (esp. You've Got Mail--yea, I'm a sucker for romantic comedies)

I also had a Reese Witherspoon phase, and still enjoy watching her films... (except for LB 2, that stank...)

This is a bit off topic but what the hell.
I go through MAJOR mafia movie phases about once every two months. Godfather II is my all time favorite movie so I'm already predisposed to these binges.
Anyway, its not unlike me to get through the Godfather Trilogy, Casino, Scarface, Goodfellas, Donnie Brasco, Heat, and The Untouchables, in a 7 day period when I start mob binging.
