Ian McCulloch the U2 fan:
"Who buys U2 records anyway? It's just music for plumbers and bricklayers. Bono, what a slob. You'd think with all that climbing about he does, he'd look real fit and that. But he's real fat, y'know. Reminds me of a soddin' mountain goat."
"And as for Bono, he needs a colostomy bag for his mouth."

I've been trying to come up with some lame song for these superthreads.

I think I have a riff, but no lyrics

Red Hill Mining Town is the third best song on JT though. It's a fucking classic. How's anyone meant to compete with that?

I actually prefer Blue Sky Mining to RHMT...

Maybe it's the squeaky guitar...

We've decided that Phail is going to cover the whole October album. Without actually looking at any tabs or anything.

Nah, Blue Sky Mine's awesome. Like I said above, I think RHMT is one of U2's best songs and that Blue Sky Mine's not in a hurry to top it, but I can certainly see why you'd favour it. Both rule.

Also, hi!

Oh, for sure. It'd be even funnier if we actually recorded it.
