anyone see Saved!?

growing up in a protestant church, I found this movie hilarious

the depiction of christian youth in all their cheesy glory is captured perfectly.
the persuit to be 'cool' and to make 'nonchristians' think you're cool.
like listening to "christian rock" and skateboarding
or saying things like 'get your Christ on'
we're down with the G.O.D

i could talk for a long time about this movie and how true it is and the messages it portrays.

I don't know if people who never grew up in this environment would enjoy it as much...but it still should be funny

Caulkin does a great job
and yes, so does Mandy Moore as the jesus freak.

i need to see this movie.

oh yeah, definitely. haven't seen it, but with the knowledge that it's produced by michael stipe and a replacements song is featured, well, i couldn't ask for much more in a fictional movie.

I rented it. It should be more like "Strayed" than "Saved" but I don't have much time to comment on it.

I just want to say that I found it very offensive. It basically says that all christians are dumb and blind. :eyebrow: Not true. I wish it would have shown the right side of christianity that doesn't focus on "saving face" and trying to be good. All it does is portrayed the aberration part of it and not what christinaity should truly be.
