I am curious if the thousands of "Craig as Bond" haters are wearing disguises as they sneak into the movie.

I told my roommate my ideal physical bond would be Daniel Craig's body with Pierce Brosnan's head so I made this:

I was conned into watching this. :grumpy:

I hate Bond-type spy movies to begin with but this one wasn't so bad. It's not as bad as the Pierce movies were for me at least.
It was good. Too long, but good.

It doesn't open here till the 23rd.
I would be interested in watching it simply for all the praise/hype Daniel Craig is getting if for no other reason (I have watched a few Connery Bonds, most of Roger Morre and all of Brosnan so it will be interesting to compare).

lol, that's great

Well I'm a Daniel Craig believer and fan now, I thought he did a fantastic job. If you're expecting the usually camp cartoonish Bond and Bond movie you won't like it. He actually acts, and very well. And his body is so nice, really really nice  Gorgeous blue eyes too, I think he's hot. It was a great turnabout to have Bond be the beefcake. Eva Green was an excellent Bond "girl"-intelligent and witty and they had real chemistry.

I think I'm being dragged to watch this tonight. Seems like a guy movie and I never really got the Bond thing in the first place. It has really good reviews so I hope it's entertaining enough.

I never really liked a Bond movie until now.

Daniel Craig :combust: and the opening action sequence with the bomber jumping buildings was incredible.

I really enjoyed it

Excellent, thoroughly enjoyed it, despite my wife constantly telling me how "fit" Craig looked, action packed, slightly deeper storyline than most Bond films, & yeah have to agree with better half, Craig does a damned fine job as 007!

really enjoyed this one , graig did a great job , he looks like a real spy
however this one feels like a single movie , very close to timothy dalton stuff , true spy and all of that , they stayed close to the book , oh yeah and pierce brosnan Mr Perfect who had atleast 2 more bonds in him , never had a script like that
graig will need to stay in shape , if he wants to play bond more then twice ( face , chin , and speedos )
***** stars , vivA SmersH , viva

It was a close second (so far) to Happy Feet

James Bond has met his match not a fellow spy but a tap-dancing penguin. The Warner Bros. animated penguin romp "Happy Feet" debuted with $42.3 million, grabbing an edge for the weekend's No. 1 slot over Sony's Bond adventure "Casino Royale," which opened with $40.6 million, according to studio estimates Sunday.

The two films were close enough that their rankings could change when final numbers are released Monday.

"'Happy Feet' is just ahead by a flipper," said Paul Dergarabedian, president of box-office tracker Exhibitor Relations. "It's unusual to have two movies this close, battling for that No. 1 position."

Dan Fellman, head of distribution for Warner, said "Happy Feet" was solidly ahead and that the rankings would not flip-flop on Monday.

"It's not going to happen," Fellman said. "It's a clear victory here."

"Casino Royale" took an early lead over "Happy Feet" on opening day because of strong adult audiences Friday night. "Happy Feet" dominated the rest of the weekend, drawing big crowds on Saturday and Sunday when family films do their best business.

I want to see Happy Feet.

I can't wait until Tues...I go home for thanksgiving break and I'm going to see Casino Royale again with the fam :D It didn't feel right seeing it without my dad :( He's going to love it. :hyper:

:hmm: I was completely disinterested in seeing the latest Bond movie - I'm a diehard Connery/Brosnan fan - but considering the rave reveiws you guys are giving the script & Craig, I may just have to change my mind. Got a holiday weekend coming up & I hate the whole After Thanksgiving shopping thing..... Guess I'll have some free time on my hands for movies.

This was a great and entertaining film

I thought Daniel Craig did an excellent job! (And I was skeptical at first.) But I think they have moved the franchise in quite a different direction that there really is not a lot to compare between Craig and Brosnan... Brosnan's Bond (as well as Connery's and Moore's Bonds) was much more of the snappy, womanizing, one-liner type while Craig, I felt, was more focused on the action and the internal dynamics of who Bond is and, most interestingly, WHY Bond is who he is. A much darker feel than any other Bond movie, but still managed to be a great flick.

I would highly recommend this

On a sidenote: Judi Dench rocked "M" in this movie! She's my hero

I thought it was a great but long movie!

It seemed more brutal then other Bond movies and it didnt have really any gadgets besides the gps/phone system...

I thought Daniel Craig did an okay job as Bond actually..

The closest in tone to the books than any other movie has come (more so than On Her Majesty's Secret Service and Living Daylights) May be the best Bond movie of all time based on that alone.

Great film!

woot, I am coming back to the States after having been gone for a month. Currently in Bangkok airport...this movie is on my must-see list when I get back. Thanksgiving weekend, me and the bf and...James Bond. :D

it's interesting ... the violence in this one hurt more, was more brutal, but i remember some of the older ones having a much higher body count and more, uh, creative deaths like that pressure chamber thing in the rather awful "License to Kill."

 Thailand.........

Yeah, during my 8 hour layover I had some Pad Thai and killed about an hour getting a shoulder/neck massage for about 15 bucks! What a place. lol.

Now in the Tokyo-Narita airport. I love traveling to exotic places, but honestly, most of the travel part consists of a lot of sitting - sitting and waiting for the plane to arrive, sitting on the plane waiting to arrive at the next city, rewind do it again. :tsk:

I loved the film. I liked the fact that it was believable and unlike the last one, there were no lasers or other things that belong in a Superman film.

And Daniel Craig is HOTNESS. Loved him.

Just got back from it...today is my bf's birthday and this was part of our day's events to celebrate. :D

wow! This may be the best Bond movie I've seen yet. In any case, Craig rocks the role. My only complaint (besides that agonizing torture scene, ugh) was that it was a touch too long...had too many false endings. Still, overall  . I can't wait to see the next one!

It was great, but way too long.

Still, one of the better 6 hour movie experiences of this year.

I agree it was too long. They could have easily cut a lot of the airport chase scene (even though it was very exciting) and some of the lovey-doveyness toward the end and the length would have been perfect.

Other than that, flawless movie. I've been watching all the Bond movies on the Spike marathon the last couple of days and it just reinforces how good Casino Royale is in comparison to most of the others

Just got back a few minutes ago. Could be the best Bond movie ever....even better than Goldeneye. And that's coming from a diehard Brosnan/Goldeneye fanatic. ;)
