Car window tinting

I'm going to get mine done and wanted to know what would you recommened as far as how dark I should go? Does anyone have experience of going too dark so that it becomes hard to drive at night or anything like that? Is past a certain percentage not useful?

Oh and how much did it cost for yours? Is it more the darker you go?
