Hey there!

What's the mood like in the Seattle scene right now?
Were there any rumours before the discovery of his passing?

So sad - but so many saw this coming.

There were no rumors at all before he was found....right now...it's weird. It's in the news, on the radio, in the paper, and I think everyone's just "Oh, OK" about it. Really odd.....but like you said, his death really isn't a big surprise. I think people are sad, but everyone is moving on...so opposite from when Kurt Cobain died....
I should have gone to the memorial downtown, but I didn't really know for sure that it was happening, it wasn't broadcast on the radio....I heard about it at 10p.m...
I thought about going to his condo....maybe I still will.....
it's just a strange vibe here......
I really can't describe it.

anyone else got an opinion of Chris' taking over as frontman for Rage against the MAchine?

Personally, I'm a big fan of his - but I dont know if Zack (?) can be replaced.

From MTVNEWS.COM:

Fans hoping to catch the first glimpse of the new, Chris Cornell-fronted group on this summer's Ozzfest will have to make do with the mental image they've built since the two parties began jamming together last year, as the former Soundgarden frontman has withdrawn from the project, effectively scrapping plans to participate in the annual summer metalfest.
