inform me. someone. anyone.

i know nothing. other than a passing comment i read in a cd booklet about cajun music favoring the fiddle more where zydeco is more accordion-based.

i am only familiar with one beausoleil album that i unearthed in the living room cupboard--which i get the impression would be the equivalent of saying i'm into industrial after only hearing nine inch nails.

I am a big fan of many styles of music...and I have to say that zydeco/cajun is a BLAST live. A good intro into zydeco would be Buckwheat Zydeco. He tours CONSTANTLY. He plays the accordian and (like most Zydeco bands) has a washboard/spoon player.

Its really fun, dancy type music. I have had a great time I have seen a Zydeco band.

Check out Buckwheat if you get a chance!!! He'll impress you.
