I'm still appalled at how horrible that was today.

And I can't stand Sarah Silverman, either. Classless all the way, imo.

I didn't watch the show last night. I've been reading up about it this morning.

our paper showed the pic of her in her "outfit" with the headline Tele-Tubby

Same here. I felt sad and embarrassed for her. She clearly isn't into performing at all like she used to be, at least as evidenced by that performance. She used to dance so well and put real effort into it. Sarah Silverman was not funny, and talk about kicking someone when they're down. She's a bully. Someone in the audience yelled out "you're ugly" when she made one of her Britney "jokes".

I posted this in the bar a few minutes ago but I feel it bears repeating:

seriously, she looked so uncomfortable...

She was obviously not prepared and pushed into this

And if you're not comfortable in your underwear maybe try putting on MORE clothes for once... You're a mother of two for Christ sakes!

x17 is saying that she found out about what Sarah Silverman was going to say about her kids just a few minutes before she was supposed to go on and perform and that's why she was so bad.

ok, now that kind of makes sense I guess even though she should be "professional" enough to lip-sync her way through one song you would think...

^Exactly. The old Britney would not have let anything get in the way of her performance. She was a professional and she knew how to put on a show. This Britney is just a sad, sad train wreck. I had a feeling it would be bad, but not this bad. Britney had no business being up on that stage.

As for Sarah Silverman, i thought her comments were definitely out of line. I think it's crappy that MTV would have Britney as a performer on their show and then let Sarah Silverman rip her to shreds right afterwards. It was definitely in poor taste.

i didn't actually see the show... i did watch britney on the internet just because i had to after everyone was talking about how bad it was... but as for the sarah silverman stuff...

look, i don't like her... i think she peeked a few years ago and has run out of clever things to say and just tries to shock people now... but if britney performed so dreadfully bad because she was upset at what bozo the clown said, well then she really isn't of the mental state to have been performing, anyways.

Yeah it was waaay too soon. If you're going to try to make a comeback, you have to TRY. Lip synching badly just doesn't cut it. You're not going to be taken seriously dancing uncomfortably in your underwear..I mean no one would . Even if she just stood in one place singing a ballad it would have been so much better. All her agents, PR people, stylists, everybody, should be fired. If she truly wants to make a comeback she needs to surround herself with grown ups that aren't stupid.
