Gosford Park ... it's flippin' excellent

For a bit of early Scorcese, try Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore. It was wedged inbetween Mean Streets and Taxi Driver and has a very strong performance by Ellen Burstyn.

I'd recommend Garden State, even though it's fairly recent, it's already built up a bit of cult following in the U of K. Withnail and I cannnot be seen enough - track it down!

I'd also recommend a crazy 1940s British ballet flick called The Red Shoes - it's a great ride.

I'm surprised no one mentioned The Graduate. Maybe I only liked that movie because it helped me sort out some things in my life.

Jack In The Box, I love your avatar. I'm assuming it's Robin:drool:

Pulp Fiction that is. Best movie ever, just like elevation2u has stated. It is fact.
