Brian Wilson - Gettin' In Over Your Head

former Beach Boy, genius, lunatic Brian returns with a new album
personally I think this man is the biggest genius music has ever seen

his album "Gettin' In Over Your Head" also features Elton John, Eric Clapton and Paul McCartney
I still love the album though

overall strong songs
but most notably, everything is gorgeously arranged by Brian himself

I don't know what the critics have said/will say about this one
the man's music will always be compared to Pet Sounds and Good Vibrations and he will never be that good again (as no one else ever will by the way) + it does almost sound as if time has stand still for Brian
but if anyone else would have released this album I figure it would have been hailed as the second coming

I would tell anyone to give this one a try

“Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.”
~Frank Zappa

I think it was his birthday yesterday. They played a set of his material on Little Steven's radio show. Good stuff.
