that game being moved back has to be a big blow for chelsea's hopes though.

I can't help but feel that this is a lose-lose situation whatever the outcome.

If we win then that's good for the team because i obviously want us to do well but also there's nothing more i'd like than for Steve Mclaren to have his marching orders because he clearly isn't up to the job. If we win then mclaren will look good and he'll say that all the doubters were wrong which will be really annoying.

If we lose or draw then mclaren will be one step closer to losing his job which is good BUT its awful for the team as we'll probably be 5 points behind Croatia in the table and not qualifying for the Euros is unthinkable with the talent we have. Just a shame we have such an inept manager to utilise this talent.

Having said all that i am quitely confident we might get a win. The side has desperately missed Lennon and Hargreaves. Hargreaves is far more effective than michael "square ball" carrick and we've really missed the pace and explosiveness (is that a word?) of lennon.

terrible.

a draw is unacceptable at this point. we need points, and it doesn't help russia won.

off with mcclown. this is ridiculous.

but hey, at least kazakhstan won today! ha

Can't see them doing it myself.

Only watched 30 mins yesterday, thats how bad they are now, I just can't be arsed to watch them anymore, but whilst enduring that 30 mins, talking to my son, we both came to the conclusion that it just has to be down to "over coaching," how else can you explain why the likes of Lampard, Gerrard, Lennon, Hargreaves, Rooney, etc, can perform reasonably well to brilliantly in the Prem. & the Champs. Lge, but put an england shirt on them, & they struggle to pass a ball accurately more than 5 yds. mclaren & his "coaching" staff, & I use that term extremely loosely in this instance, must absolutely fill their heads with soooooooooo many "tactics" do this, don't do that, be careful of so & so in the opposition ranks, that the players go on to the pitch completely lost, & baffled by what they're supposed to do, & therefore perform like a bunch of mindless zombie's, football is simple, keep it that way, play to your strength's, let the opposition worry about what our best players can do to them, Cloughie once said, " footballers aren't the most educated people in the world, so what good is it me wasting my time talking tactics to them, when they wouldn't have a clue what I'm talking about, just go out there & do what you're good at, if you're good enough you'll win more than you'll lose" it was a philosophy that served him fairly well, & if it was good enough for him, its more than good enough for mclaren, he makes me laugh standing there with his pen & notebook at every match, it wouldn't surprise me if the ink ran out in that pen months ago, & he still hasn't noticed!

I know how you feel 1Step, but if it was bad yesterday, how will it be on Weds. night, personally I believe england won't make it to the finals now, so a large part of me is hoping for another bad result against Andorra, if that were to happen, even the muppets at fa headquarters would have to act........ but then again.

Just 1 question, are the english football, cricket, & rugby teams having their own personal tournament to see which 1 can embarrass the nation the most!

do you guys want sven back now?

i think you should pick a foreigner again. everytime you pick an english coach it seems to turn out as a disaster.

Sir Alf might disagree, but at the moment there aren't ANY english managers upto the job, but the media being what it is in this country certainly influenced the fa in mclarens appointment, hopefully they'll have learnt there lesson from the disaster that he's creating, & if we can persuade a TOP manager to take the job, whoever that may be, they'll be able to get england to play a little bit of football, I for one would settle for that, because unless Jesus Christ himself takes up the reins, I don't think anyone could turn them into WINNERS.
