I agree. I'm moving there in less than a year.

Krasno!

"He had lived through an age when men and women with energy and ruthlessness but without much ability or persistence excelled. And even though most of them had gone under, their ignorance had confused Roy, making him wonder whether the things he had striven to learn, and thought of as 'culture,' were irrelevant. Everything was supposed to be the same: commercials, Beethoven's late quartets, pop records, shopfronts, Freud, multi-coloured hair. Greatness, comparison, value, depth: gone, gone, gone. Anything could give some pleasure; he saw that. But not everything provided the sustenance of a deeper understanding." - Hanif Kureishi, Love in a Blue Time

Having lived here for the better part of 6 years, I think I can safely say that Boston has some problems.

-sky-high rent for really old and/or tiny apartments
-expensive food
-taxes
-lack of public recreational facilities (unless you're affiliated with a school)
-terrible traffic and parking issues
-sunset at 4:15-4:30 in the winter
-a *lot* of freezing rain during the late fall and early spring
-foul-smelling streets
-Communists
-lousy street musicians

Having lived here for the better part of 16 years, I can safetly say that the good far outweighs the bad.

You know, mug, not all of us are rich Communists who like wandering the foul-smelling streets in perpetual darkness and rain while getting hit by reckless drivers.
