right now I'm reading Emerald Magic, a collection of Irish fantasy. (I'm a sucker for those Banshee's!)
but when I'm finished I'll be wanting something else. But I can't think of anything. whattaya say?

I love quirky or fantastical books.
I think my favorite book, that I've read so far this year, is Sophie's World.
I was consumed by it.
I'd read a chapter and then I'd have to go outside and think.
Sure, I learned it all in Intro. Philosophy, but philosophy never gets boring.
Especially after the crazy twist at the end!!

to give you an idea, here are other books I've read recently:

American Gods - Neil Gaiman (Turns out all the gods ever imagined in the history of earth are real...and they are about to go to war against the new gods of Commercialism and Media)

Curius Incident of the dog in the nighttime - Mark Haddon (Written from the first person perspective of an autistic child, this book is a pure delight!)

Life of Pi - (A little east indian boy, with off-the-beaten-path religious views, gets stranded in a lifeboat with a tiger, a hyena, and a zebra)

Catch 22 - Joseph Heller(It's like M.A.S.H but everybody is literally insane)

and so on

Kirk reads books?????

I bought that at a garage sale for a nickel last summer. It's been sitting in my closet ever since though. I should give it a go.

Some books to try ...
1984
Farenheit 451
Angels & Deamons (by Dan Brown, the same guy who wrote The Da Vinci Code ... but A&D is much better)

The Da Vinci Code! That's such a brilliant book! I couldn't put it down...

And now I'm gonna buy Angels and Demons, because Brown's writing is great

I really enjoyed it....the first part will be you grin and smile...it's very endearing.

then when he gets stranded on the lifeboat it gets like a survivor book...like old man and the sea. It's very good
