Boob Jobs? Your Thoughts...

Ok, let just say first off--> this thread is in no way meant to offend anyone who has, or is considering getting their breasts augmented. I am just curious and thought this might stir up a decent conversation...

I was *gasp* watching the final episode of the Bachelor the other night and one of the girls who didn't make it very far, has since gotten her breasts enlarged... I admittedly was quite shocked by that, and the fact that she was so proud to share it (what in my opinion is fairly personal) on national television. I guess perhaps I am somewhat naive on the subject, but I was under the assumption that having such surgery has become passe for lack of a better term. With all the proven health risks that are known now, I find it interesting/disturbing that someone so young would still go ahead with the surgery. I dunno, I feel it is sad in a way that people believe they need to improve themselves in what seems to be a rather shallow way.

Your thoughts?

Do guys find fake boobs attractive? How many here would consider going under the knife it they could afford it? No arguments please...

I for one, would never ever have cosmetic surgery. The risk is too greater than the pleasure for me.

anything on or in a girl that is fake ISNT attractive. id rather take a flaw than a cover up any day.

were all human and built in different ways.

and to further my point, breast implants look rediculous and rarely look natural.

i mean there are some girls that look great and they could be as tiny as can be. "fixing flaws" is disturbing.

I dont have the largest boobs around but I would never get a boob job.

Real men prefer natural boobs.

ick. If a man liked me more for the size or the lack thereof of breasts...I would not be flattered in the least. The word "shallow" comes to mind.

I was recently horrified to learn that my sister, who can barely pay her rent and feed her daughter, was considering taking out a loan for $8,500 to finance a boob job. She is 5'2, 100 pounds, long blond hair and perfectly proportioned. She is a beautiful 32 year old woman but is considering going into debt for YEARS to have a bigger chest. I have tried to tell her that most guys prefer natural boobs and have even had my husband talk to her about it but she's still considering it.

With all the risks involved in a medically necessary surgery, I find it amazing that someone would WANT to be operated on voluntarily for something that they don't need in the first place.

Did any of you see the MTV reality show about the guy who got the calf implants? That was the very definition of shallow which is how I feel about most plastic surgery procedures.

I don't like having surgery of any kind; the puking, the fasting, the enemas, the morphine drip (okay, that part isn't so bad ), the pain. Why anyone would do that to have fake boobs is beyond me. And why would a girl want the kind of guy who likes fake boobs anyway?? Eew.

I personally would not have a boob. To many risks involved. I know of a woman who had it done and the silicone implants leaked all through out her body, and now she has all kinds of health problems for life.

Martha, are you having some kind of foot surgery this summer? Hope it won't be as bad as you just said about surgery,

How's about no to this. I agree with martha on this. Surgery = biggest pain in the ass ever. I mean, after you're done you're all messed up on drugs and though you can't feel anything, which is nice for the pain, you literally miss weeks of your life due to it. And to miss weeks of my life for something so very trivial...ack. I'm not the bustiest chick on my block, but they're mine and they're staying that way!

I just think it's sad that some women can't rely on their personality and natural physical gifts enough that they feel the need to augment their breasts thinking this is the only way/reason a man would give her attention.

If the woman thinks bigger breasts will lure Mr Right, she is looking for love in the wrong places.

I probably wouldn't do it myself, but I've nothing against boob jobs or plastic surgery in general as long as it's done tastefully enough and doesn't turn a person into a Tory Spelling or (gulp) Michael Jackson.

Thanks, td. It's just outpatient, not the whole she-bang.

i always thought that if i was vain enough to get plastic surgery God would repay my narcicism by making the silicon eat thru my skin and make them fall off completely.
