Yeah, I might have to do this.

Fiery Furnaces, Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings (just saw them--amazing), Willie Nelson, and Robert Plant/Alison Krauss all deserve the bold highlights too!

It would be a gross understatement if I said I was envious of the people with the means and the money to go to this festival this summer. That's one hell of a lineup.

I've desperately wanted to go the last two years and was very close to going in '06. I just don't have the money this time around.

I wonder if this means Pearl Jam will be announcing more dates throughout the US for this summer...???...

Also I think Metallica should be in bold, too.

Actually, it says "Lez" Zep. Could be some kind of Riot Grrrl tribute band or something.

And the only thing Metallica deserves to be in is bankruptcy.

It's actually Lez Zeppelin, the all female tribute band.

ok,

I am sitting here....:lmao: off when I went back and looked again!! Sorry... semi-freak out when I looked at the list.. And a doh moment when they were way down on the list...

Iron & Wine, Rilo Kiley, Robert Randolf, Broken Social Scene, Allman Bros. , DAVID CROSS.

good shit.

with Battles alone it's fantastic

as somebody dais: better than Coachella

still, I can't go to any :giggle:

I find that surprising. I think the headliners are a bit lacking, but from top to bottom it's an extremely solid lineup. Leagues better than Coachella.

Hopefully when the ACL lineup is announced in May, it's even better. Hopefully it doesn't waste a headline spot on Jack Johnson, too.

If I could afford to go, I wouldn't hesitate. Best festival lineup of the year by far.

Is it bad that the band I'd most want to see out of that lineup is Lez Zeppelin (which is great by the way)?

Some great ones, especially Pearl Jam, Kanye, Lupe, and MMJ for me, but it's not enough to make me want to go there this year. I'm hoping Austin City Limits gets a killer line-up, I'd love to go to that one (seeing as how its within civilization, and had a much better lineup than any festival last year).

What are the dates of ACL?

Some airline ( :shifty: ) just announced direct service between my city and Austin starting May 2. Of course, all I could think of was "Finally, an easy way for me to get to ACL."

I have actually wanted to see Lez Zep for a while now. They have played a venue down the street twice in the last year.

September 26-28. Tickets are available now (I got my 3 day pass Saturday) and the lineup comes out in May.

Roo? Anyone?

In just four days, some of the best contemporary music comes to Tennessee. \

(The awesome ACL can get its own thread.)
this is the second year in a row i've wanted to go, but i can't. it's only a four hour drive for me, but the idea of walking around with my boot on...:yikes:

My friend's roadtrippin' up to see this as her grad gift, I think.

She's in for a treat, hopefully.
