I'd love to go on a comedy trip but I'm afraid I'll have to leave that to another day.

On the plus side, since a Victoria roadtrip with one of my mates didn't go to plan last holidays, we're gonna try and do it this summer. We're aiming for Ballarat for reasons, but even if she has to go back home early because of family stuff, I'm gonna take a train to Melbourne no matter what. So yeah, hopefully that'll happen.

Fucking shittest day at work yesterday (as its just gone past midnight)

My manager called me into his office to tell me off (I should point out he wasn't mean or anything ) for spending too much time on a job that had a very low budget. I went about $400 over a $2000 job. (After I got told someone went near $40,000 over a very similar type of job a couple of months back). It's happened a few times now (over budget) it's probably that I have a bit more of an important role and a couple of staff have left. The thing is this is all my first couple of projects I've had to do myself, do they expect me to be awesome and get things done with the click of a finger? I feel like they have it in for me if I'm getting signalled out.

Fuck end rant, but that was the shittest day I've had at work (and I only did from 1-5pm) it makes me even more want to quit more than ever, I think I really need to start my exit strategy and be gone by the end of the year.

I know I've asked before but any tips on quitting a job "gracefully"?

Fuck.

/rant now.

I love that apparently you can only tell if Cobbler's joking if you're an Australian.

That's shitty, Daniel, I'm sorry.

I'm going to tell someone very directly that I don't like them and they need to kindly fuck off and die.

Dave just texted me. I know because I recognized his number. I do not have it saved in my phone anymore. I haven't talked to him in almost two months. But he's been facebook stalking me, so he knows about the daily trek from North Ogden to work (55 miles one way). Anyway, he said that if I get sick of the drive (we've been staying here for THREE WEEKS already), I'm invited to "have a sleepover" with him.

What prison is Ted Kaczynski stowed away at? I need to get a letterbomb out immediately...

@Ax: In The Pines is the finest Triffids record. A great example of why U2 really just needs to get drunk together and knock an album out in 4 days.

I haven't heard that one yet, actually.

Just finished being underwhelmed by Eyehategod. I never listened to them because, well, that's a horrible band name. But they're touring Australia and meant to be some fantastic sludge metal. Eh, it was OK. Nothing I'm shelling out money to see live.

So I've managed to get my head around most stuff in this political unit... but for the life of me I just can't seem to come up with even the smallest answer to the following question... :( can anyone help?

How do social liberals and neo-liberals disagree in their interpretation of classical liberal principles? And is there any base for cooperation between neo-liberals and social democrats?

All I've got is that liberalism is the idea of liberty, freedom, equality for all people. Social liberals say the state must ensure that issues like welfare and civil rights are being looked after. Neo-liberals argue for no government involvement in people's affairs unless it's absolutely necessary. Social democrats argue for social rights for all citizens. But I don't know how to relate it to classical liberal principles. Am I anywhere near the mark?

Liberalism has so many different bits and pieces and whatever so it can be confusing.

But you can argue the same with the various different branches falling under socialism.
