I blame Lanois more than Eno. He seems far more inclined to over-production and make everything all shiny and radio-friendly. And Bono needs to put more effort into his lyrics too rather than running around bugging politicians and appearing on Oprah.

at the Adam point.

Well, he's obviously a bit masochistic if he dated Naomi Campbell.

regardless of whose fault it is, honestly, it's time to cut the umbilical cord, be big boys and maybe start producing their own music.

I don't really have a problem with Eno.
The over-producing thing really needs to stop though.

I feel like I probably should trash them, but I honestly enjoy some of their songs, including Anarchy In The UK.

I want to keep #70. As I've actually done it.
Perhaps you can merge the fondling question and add it!

And then got so cut up when they broke up that he drunk himself into a stupor and missed a gig! Insane man.

Yeah, I agree with that. I'm cool if they keep Eno around, since he complements them so well, but Lanois has bugged me lately. I wonder if HTDAAB would have come out earlier if Lanois hadn't swung by for a few days after the Chris Thomas sessions and said what he thought of the band's work ...

I love it. Lowers my superthread purity score, too.
