Bwahaha! You're downloading it! You should download that and attach it to a looping instrumental to 'Streets' and then attach it to this thread somehow!! That would get us all "in the mood" so to speak

just like your pathetic fans. could they be ANY quiter?! i thought for a second the two teams were playing in a neutral zone location - maybe san antonio where hockey is the residents sport of choice.

dont tell vancouver whats good for hockey. theyre making a profit this year WHILE keeping their payroll under 35 million. whats st. louis' again?

which team is better? i guess we'll know for sure after tuesday.

Yes, Pear, I made that very point about their fans after game 3. They either don't know their hockey, or they don't have pulses. Even after the Blues came back last night, that's all they showed for it? It it was in a Canadian city, the building would have caught fire somehow at least.

there are numerous reasons why our arena doesnt sound as loud:

first, it's a new building that was built to minimize the echoing noises, so the place is like a noice vacuum. it's kind of sad, but they built the place knowing there would be concerts and other things there, and so they set up the accoustics for that. so no matter how crazy the crowd is, the noise can never get too loud.

second, when your team goes to the playoffs for 24 straight years, the 1st round is just like an extension of the regular season. we always expect to make the playoffs, so being in the first round isnt a big deal. after the first round is when the real playoffs begin.

third, we have other sports teams that keep our interest. it is no secret that St. Louis is a baseball town, as it is always at the top of the list for best baseball cities. Hockey is more like a way to pass the team during the offseason for baseball, America's pasttime. And the Rams have been to the Superbowl a couple times the past few years, so people tend to get more excited for teams that can actually get to the big games, which unfortunately, the blues havent been able to do. But hey at least you guys have the Grizzlies, oh wait, nevermind, you cant even support 2 professional franchises.

fourthly, i found it interesting that i was watching game 5 on CBC and the crowd sounded really loud, but then I changed it to espn and the crowd seemed almost silent, i couldnt believe the difference. it really depends on where the broadcasts have their microphones and things to determine the noise level.

st louis was rated best sports city a couple years ago by the sporting news, so we must be doing at least something right.
