is there a song about unicorns? wolfmother does a song called white unicorn.

Ooh, that's what I missed in the first post.

STAIRCASE INFINITIES EP
- The Joke's On You
- Yellow Hedgerow Dreamscape

The Joke's On You has a lyric about "riding on a unicorn".

And the last section of my PT conversion pack ...

IN ABSENTIA
- Blackest Eyes
- Trains
- The Sound Of Muzak
- Strip The Soul
- Collapse The Light Into Earth

FUTILE EP
- Drown With Me

DEADWING
- Deadwing
- Lazarus
- Arriving Somewhere But Not Here
- Mellotron Scratch

FEAR OF A BLANK PLANET
- Anesthetize
- Way Out Of Here

NIL RECURRING EP
- Normal
- What Happens Now?

I'm realising my proposed PT Conversion Pack is far too large.

No Sleep Together? That's a damn good song.

Wonderful album.

Fuck yes. The Sky Moves Sideways (Phase One) blows me away every time.

... I should be careful saying that in a thread called Blowhard.

But come on ...

We lost the skyline
We stepped right off the map
Drifted into blank space
And let the clocks relapse

We laughed the rain down
Slow burn on the lawn
Ghosts across the delta
Swallowed up the storm

Sometimes I feel like a fist
Sometimes I am the colour of air
Sometimes it's only afterwards
I find that I'm not there

In the dream dusk
We walked beside the lake
We watched the sky move sideways
And heard the evening break

Sometimes I feel like a fist
Sometimes I am the colour of air
Sometimes it's only afterwards
I find that I'm not there

It's my least favourite of all ten songs from the FOABP sessions.

1. Anesthetize
2. Way Out Of Here
3. Normal
4. What Happens Now?
5. Fear Of A Blank Planet
6. Sentimental
7. Cheating The Polygraph
8. My Ashes
9. Nil Recurring
10. Sleep Together

That said, I love all of 1-8 and quite like 9 and 10.

While I'm quoting PT lyrics, fuck, I love Stars Die.

The moon shook and curled up like gentle fire
The ocean glazed and melted wire
Voices buzzed in spiral eyes
Stars dived in blinding skies

Stars die
Blinding skies

Tree cracked and mountain cried
Bridges broke and window sighed
Cells grew up, rivers burst
Sound obscured and sense reversed

Stars die
Blinding skies

So Axver, what do you think of the playlists you've seen so far?

Yours is the only one that has impressed me. Of the songs I know, the only rubbish track is that Broken Social Scene one. What a fucking terrible band. Otherwise - Pure Reason Revolution, Porcupine Tree, Passengers, The Edge, The Cure, Pink Floyd, etc. FUCK YES.

Though I expect that Genesis track to waste 22:50 of my life. They are the worst prog band I know.

As for the others ... I'm very, very conflicted about bono_212's tracklisting. Some absolute drivel there, stuff I could never vote for, and yet in the midst of it, Explosions In The Sky, Porcupine Tree, Joy Division ... some rounds may be a challenge to decide what to vote for.

I'm sitting in the concrete
I'm listening for a heartbeat
I'm sitting in the painting
I promised I'd be waiting
I'm sitting in the window
I'm listening to the wind blow
I'm sitting in an hour glass
I'm waiting for the march past

I'm sitting in the doorway
I'm wishing for a new day
I'm choking in the landscape
I'm cutting through the red tape
I'm sitting in the concrete
I'm listening for a heartbeat
I'm sitting in the concrete
I'm listening for a heartbeat

And the joke has crossed the line
And the final word is mine
And the mist has touched the wood
And the words are understood
And the sand has drifted high
And the blind man gave a cry
And the swallows dance above the sun
And the swallows dance above the sun, yeah

Words cannot describe how much I love this song or how much it saddens me that it is so completely and utterly ignored in Porcupine Tree's catalogue.

Like you can talk about getting people into bed. Hell, you couldn't even get a pet cat to curl up at the foot of your bed!

I think you'll hate the songs on my list, but approve of the depth of the concept.

Your concept is visiting the Kunstmuseum, I hope.

LM, I'm giving her 2.5 hours. But that was a while ago.

Fuck, I should do some work before I get over-stressed again.

2 hours of Can, Brian Eno, Kraftwerk, Tangerine Dream, and Kunstmuseum's own house band, Ash Ra Tempel.
