When I was working in the call centre, I spoke to a guy who was changing his address to Humpybong Esplanade, Fannie Bay.

He asked me if I was sitting down before he told me that one!!

Also, Ali, got your e-mail from earlier. What an insane day it was yesterday! I can't believe the whole Burnley group of rail lines were out.

Bloody glad I didn't have to go in to uni myself.

Yeah, same (except for work)...

There are still a lot of houses to the SE of Melbourne without power... the Faults and Emergencies call centre at work has been going nuts since yesterday...

And some poor linesman got killed while he was fixing a power line somewhere today.

Yeah, I heard there was another death. I'm surprised nothing too significantly bad happened on the rail network, what with all the wires down and I believe it was Mentone station on the Frankston line was seriously hit by a tree.

Didn't know power was still out in some parts of the city though! Maybe that's where the Maj. has got to.

Hey pfan

I don't know if it's anywhere technically in Melbourne still without power, maybe more towards Gippsland/Wonthaggi/Wilson's Prom?

Ahh, right. Actually, I believe the Maj. was going on some trip today, as he couldn't make the lecture/tute we have. I forget where he said he was going though. Maybe Phillip Island?

Checking out the penguin situation, is he?

Random: The 26/12/89 version of One Tree Hill came up on my mp3 player today... hot damn. I've got to get that whole show... and dozens of others.

I can just see him now ... "I wonder what they taste like?" Meanwhile, I kidnap a few to bring home as pets.

The performance of Streets from that show is astonishing too; I think it's the best ever. Bono recites some of William Wordsworth's Resolution And Independence over the intro as a tribute to Samuel Beckett. You definitely need the show. And other Lovetown gigs.

I, of course, can help there. Yeah, me, own Lovetown bootlegs. WHO WOULD'VE GUESSED.
