"Who buys U2 records anyway? It's just music for plumbers and bricklayers. Bono, what a slob. You'd think with all that climbing about he does, he'd look real fit and that. But he's real fat, y'know. Reminds me of a soddin' mountain goat."
"And as for Bono, he needs a colostomy bag for his mouth."

Dear EYKIW Survivor voters,

First you kick out Treasure, now you're going after Bass Trap?

You all suck.

Sincerely,
Ax

Or press the pause button... OK, I'm embellishing here. No way could the features be that bad.

Oh, wait, Across The Universe had that exact feature. Sums up its shittiness quite thoroughly.

And somebody's bumped the "U2's relationship with their fans" thread.

Now there's a lost cause. All the totally blinded fans on this forum make any reasonable discussion there absolutely impossible. It's a simple fact that U2 are incredibly distant from their fans. The fact that an unofficial messageboard like this does SIGNIFICANTLY better than the band's official board really says it all there.

Plus it's a fucking ripoff to use Zootopia. If you've got someone willing to pay to talk about U2, you aren't getting a rational discussion.

I choose to believe that U2 actually does care about their fans, but you're pretty much right...they would spit on us if we were on fire, but only after September.

From Oztips:

98%/$1.03 Cats
Demons $11.00/2%

$ value = value at Sportstab
% value = percentage of tippers who've tipped the Demons

Well put.

I remember a forum about a particular book turned into a pay-only site because the authors couldn't hack the fact they were getting so criticised on their forum and wanted to shut down discussion to just people who agree. It was hilarious.

I wouldn't blame U2 for being distant, i mean, there's some fucking lunatic in PLEBA wondering if there's a phone number to reach U2 at Hanover Quay.

Oh, the Demons are so fucked. I'm calling a 170-30 scoreline.

Nothing worse than the kind of person or group who aren't willing to hear any criticism of what they've put in the public domain.

I don't think U2 don't give a shit. Bono's always been protective of even the lunatic fans at gigs who try to get on stage. I just think they're completely out of touch and not even aware of what their fanbase thinks. Edge's quote that they don't play LNOE because he doesn't think it's another SBS or NYD speaks volumes.
