Don't answer that. I spend my Sundays watching the Redskins.

Jungleland is like 85 years long. I trust this will be nothing if not epic.

Best part of the song IMO.
Agreed.

It's a lyrical masterpiece all the way through.

It's long in length, but goes by very quickly.

One of the best sax solos of all time.

Somehow, that just doesn't sound quite right.

Made sense to me.

Technically, I guess the ideal was "It's long on paper, but it goes by very quickly."

Listening to this, I can really hear the massive influence Springsteen has had on so many artists I listen to. It's surreal.

The midnight gang's assembled and picked a rendezvous for the night
They'll meet 'neath that giant Exxon sign that brings this fair city light

The sax solo is hot too.

Born To Run is actually a loose concept album, if you think about it. A tale of young love and restless hearts, taking place over the course of a single day, with Thunder Road starting at daybreak, and Jungleland going deep into the night.

At one point, Springsteen considered starting and ending the album with Thunder Road (he had an acoustic version to start, and the full band version to end). That would have been interesting. The acoustic version is even better.

Do you mean the style in which he opened Hammersmith with?

Who gets the major credit for producing this album? It sounds insanely good.

Appel worked on Born to Run, Landau on most of the rest. And Jimmy Iovine was one of the engineers.
