I think it's great that that they chose a regular public course for the US Open. $20 bucks to play (OK, $25 on the weekend..) I love courses like Oakmont, Olympic, Oakland Hills, and Pebble Beach, but they're hard to relate to, given that you have to be a member to be able to play them. Or, in PB's case, fork over $350+ to play it one time.

I can't wait for June.

Well the only way ill ever play Bethpage is how ive already played it- on the PC hehe

But if the rendition i played is accurate, it should be a fun tournament...its pretty long tho so it will certainly favour Tiger if he can keep it in the short stuff.

Im kinda neutral about the US Open, i know u yanks think its the ultimate test, but is any tournament really that great when Johnny Miller is calling the action on the back 9 on sunday?

Yeah, Johnny must really be playing well these days for all the criticism he hands out. The game must be so easy from the booth. I actually like him most of the time, but when he starts that "Mr. Negative" condescending attitude.... ABC really dropped the ball by letting the US OPen and PGA C'ship get away. I liked their team better.

Brettig- What golf game has Bethpage? And was that purchased instead of new golf equipment?
